Concept and Model
The Frame
Enosis is the name used for the entirety of the body of this work that I am offering. It is the term used for the unified whole, complete venture and overall frame of this specific way of personal, spiritual and professional development. Enosis means union or unification in Greek and so alludes to the spiritual and personal union within our core of all aspects of our being; original, heavenly and human. Enosis also refers to the synthesis of all the factors and sources that come together to make up this work. It is the principles, concepts and resources, the very essence and substance that both defines and holds together this approach to personal and spiritual growth and its applications. These are Core Integration and Heart of Being.
Heart of Being is the spiritual wing of this body of work which focuses on who we are in the cosmic scheme of existence. It explores and celebrates our sacred, multi-dimensional, essential and creative being that stems from our spiritual origin. This modality fosters the potential of our inherent spiritual nature. It also looks into the heavenly and original nature of being, what is often termed as the Divine-Absolute. Hence to connect to the heart of our being is to come to know the divine spark within which has been bestowed to us.
Core Integration is the therapeutic and healing aspect, in other words applied Enosis and the means to realise our core self. It is an integrative approach to therapy, or psyche-therapy to be precise as here the true full meaning of psyche is taken on board, which means soul in Greek. Hence the focus here is not only the personality and ego but also who we truly are and the reality of our being that we find in our core. All that we are as beings is included, what most people describe as our spiritual nature. This is true but only partly so as spiritual paths do not include our animal nature without which we cannot make sense of our human nature! Core Integration opens us to of our earthly aspects as well as our heavenly aspects. It explores and treasures rather than dismisses or belittles the precious reality of our primal, elementary, and unconditioned natural being which stems from our body and our earthly origins. It is therefore truly holistic as no part of our psyche is neglected; rather it includes and welcomes all that is us.
Certain resources are required in order to make the necessary transition from the perceived status quo to a whole new perspective of what a human being is truly about. In macrocosmic terms this may be understood as spiritual evolution, in microcosmic terms as a shift in our psychological perception of reality. The aim is to not be solely determined by our conditioning instead by all the levels and dynamics of our being.
Core Integration and Heart of Being are the modalities of applied Enosis that can facilitate this endeavour. Heart of Being is the means to realise our original and heavenly nature, whilst Core Integration is the means to embody that spiritual reality and to integrate it into our personality. You could say that Core Integration chips the rough edges off the diamond, whilst Heart of Being polishes the diamond, as the former works on a more substantial and dense level whilst the latter works on a more subtle and fine level. One needs to work on both levels as we possess both a personality and a soul. We require different ways and means to address these distinctive and seemingly divergent states. That way we may encompass the entirety of what is our true human potential.
